Ethiopian American Civic Advocacy (EACA) is a non-profit, non-partisan community-based civic organization striving to empower Ethiopian-Americans and Ethiopians to fight for the respect of human rights, promote democratic governance, and demand donor accountability in Ethiopia.

EACA believes in coordinating and collaborating with other activists and civic movements, with the aim of maximizing the impact of our collective action for commonly shared goals. In EACA’s actions and coordination with others, the organization seeks to help individuals be effective in their effort to ensure that political processes promote human rights, good governance, and accountability of policy makers.

EACA takes the initiative on timely issues and organizes actions to attain sustainable democracy and peace in Ethiopia. EACA provides education and awareness to empower citizens to achieve common ends and participate fully in public life. The organization encourages tolerance, cooperation, and civic engagement, which EACA believes would allow Ethiopians and Ethiopian-Americans to be a constructive and effective force in pressing governments and international organizations to contribute to the goals of human rights, development, and good governance in Ethiopia.
